The Children's Place understands the importance of protecting your privacy and security. The following statement outlines our practices for collecting, using, disclosing and otherwise managing the personal information of our customers and visitors to our site and stores. Online Registration

Generally, you do not need to register to visit our Website. However, to take advantage of certain of its features, we require you to register and create an account. When you register, we collect your name, address, phone number, email address. and a password that you select. We may also request other optional information during registration, which you may choose not to provide. We use this information to identify who you are and to administer your use of the Website, including your purchases and participation in contests, promotions and surveys.

Shopping at The Children's Place

You do not have to provide us with any personal information when you purchase merchandise with cash at one of our stores. If you use a credit or debit card for your purchase, we collect your debit or credit card-related information and your signature to process and administer your payment. When you place an order on our Website, we also collect your name, shipping and billing address, phone number, and email address. We may also collect a gift message (if provided). We use this information to process and deliver your order, respond to any requests you may have about your order and contact you, if necessary.

When you return or exchange merchandise at one of our stores or online, we collect your name and phone number. We use this information to track returns and help us administer our loss prevention program, including helping to detect and prevent fraud. If you receive a refund on a credit or debit card, we will collect and use the debit and credit-related information to process and administer the refund transaction. We also keep a history of your purchases in order to improve our product and service offerings and to tailor our promotional offers.

We may also collect optional information when you shop in one of our stores or online such as your name, phone number and/or email address and/or any loyalty program card numbers (described below). If you provide your phone number, we use it to obtain your mailing address in order to send you mailings about the latest trends, the newest fashions, in-store events, surveys, promotional announcements and marketing messages (collectively, "Marketing Information"). If you provide your email address, we will send you emails containing Marketing Information. We may also use this information for internal analysis purposes to better understand our customers, merchandise needs and to tailor our promotional offers. Marketing Communications

From time to time, we may obtain your consent to send you marketing or promotional email, SMS text messages or other communications about The Children's Place including the latest trends, the newest fashions, in-store events, surveys, promotional announcements and marketing messages. We may also obtain your consent to share your personal information with our marketing partners so that they may contact you about products and services that may be of interest to you. Loyalty Programs and other offerings

When you sign-up or register for our loyalty program membership or other offerings, we may collect personal information such as your loyalty program card number, first and last name, mailing address and telephone number, birth date and the name, birth date and gender of your children. We use this information for the purpose of administering the loyalty program or other offering and tailoring our promotional offers. When you use your loyalty card or a third-party loyalty card in one of our stores or online, we use this information to provide you with offers and promotions, help us improve our product and service offerings, and otherwise in connection with the administration of the loyalty program. We may ask to view a valid government-issued photo identification in order to confirm your identity and process your discount or offer. However, we do not record any identification numbers.

Contests, Promotions and Surveys

When you enter a contest, participate in a promotion, or respond to one of our surveys, we may require you to register for an account. We may collect your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. We use this information to administer your participation in the contest or promotion and, for surveys, to contact you with follow-up questions. At the time you enter the contest, promotion or survey, we may obtain your consent to send you future promotional communications. If a contest or promotion is jointly sponsored by us and one or more sponsors, your personal information may be shared with such sponsors, as specified at the time of collection of your personal information. The "Invite a Friend" and other similar features on our site (such as electronic gift cards) permit you to send email to others. This feature may require you to submit your name and email address, as well as the name and email address of the recipient. We do not use the names or email addresses submitted in these circumstances for any other purpose without the consent of you or the email recipient to do so.

Customer Service

When you call or email our customer service department, visit a customer service desk in a store or otherwise contact us with a comment, question or complaint, you may be asked for information that identifies you (such as your name, address and phone number) along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question or respond to your comment or complaint. We may retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our product and service offerings.

We may combine your personal information with information we collect or receive from publicly available online and offline sources, such as information to validate the accuracy of your address or other information you have provided us. We do this in order to help maintain the accuracy of your personal information, understand and improve our product and service offerings, and to assist in the selection of store locations.

The Children's Place uses select, trustworthy service providers. Legal

The Children's Place, our affiliates and our Canadian, US and other service providers may provide your personal information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to an investigative body in the case of a breach of an agreement or contravention of law, or as otherwise required by applicable Canadian, US or other law. Collection and Use of Website Information

The Children's Place collects web site visitor information to enhance your online shopping experience.
